In the beginning of 2021, we were able to open a preschool in the new school complex in Bwishyura village. Our young scholars get breakfast and lunch every day. They play and study in spacious, well-lit classrooms with a variety of toys and educational materials.
The curriculum includes pre-literacy (letters, numbers, storytelling, etc…), music, art, physical education, English and French. Our classes also help familiarize the children with various areas of their environment such as: family, school, plants, animals, and so on.
Our Bible classes hold a lot of significance, as we believe that it is very important to teach children biblical truths from an early age. Our students get a lot of time to play outside in a safe space right by the school where they can use tricycles and a sandbox.
We recently got permission to start an elementary school and have received a license for a vocational school in our school complex as well! Since October, thirty bright first graders have been studying in our school. We are planning to launch the vocational school in January, when a qualified specialist will arrive to teach a sewing course.
