On January 18, 2021, we celebrated the grand opening of our school in Bwishyura. We received a license to open a preschool education department for children from 4 to 6 years old. Our school is equipped with a special playground, where there is a sandbox, an open space where children can run and drive new children’s cars, as well as a trampoline with a slide, which has brought a lot of joy to our youngest students. Teachers are constantly engaging with the children. There is no playground like ours that is offered at no cost in the Karongi district. We are grateful to provide resources that the children greatly need at no cost to them. We also conduct daily lessons in English, French, Bible studies, sports, drawing, etc.
Every morning, when I go to school, joyful, smiling children run toward me. Even in two weeks, you can see a great difference in their behavior – the children become more open, free, and active.
GHH works to provide education to anyone who desires it no matter the difficulty. We have a student named Alice. She is 26 years old and needs an individualized special education plan in connection with specific features for mental development. We are working with her according to the recommendations of her attending physician. It is our joy to work closely with Alice. We are grateful she felt welcomed at GHH.
We are currently praying that God will give us wisdom in the development of our education system, not only for children and adolescents with normal mental and physical development but also for people with special needs. We thank everyone deeply who takes part in our ministry, even remotely. We need your participation and value every way you have contributed to all that God has done in the Glob.
